Therapy Assistants
It can be difficult to translate the skills learnt in therapy to everyday life. Our Therapy Assistants play an important role in bridging this gap.
Depending on your child's unique needs, our therapy assistants can:
- Provide one-on-one care to your child at school, at home or in the community. For example, attend scouts or dance classes. This is a great option for those families who are wanting to focus on developing social skills.
- Provide individual support in the classroom. This can include support with handwriting, fine motor, attention or behaviour.
- Support your child's participation in everyday tasks such as toileting, feeding and showering.
- Assist in leisure-based activities at home or in the community.
- Social or emotional support and assistance in community participation. For example, social outings or public transport training.
